Further to my earlier article on history of Asia Reit, reported in the Business Time (13/10/06) was further development of Asia Reit :
“Asia is ripe for an “explosion” in real estate investment trusts (REIT) as China,Pakistan,Dubai and Saudi Arabia consider legislative reforms to boost the market, Standard and Poor’s (S&P) said yesterday. ” 

Business Times (14/10/06) reported that Hektar has obtained the approval to list its reit in the Main Board by end of the year. Refer to earlier article written on it.

Reported in The Edge Malaysia (5/10/06) that
“The Ayer Molek Rubber Company Bhd (AMolek) has aborted its proposed rights and bonus issue.”
The reason cited is that it is not able to comply with the revised listing requirements on bonus issue that came effect on May 29.
